Hey guys. Are there any Aussies on this forum who play online pokies? I recently moved to Australia from the UK and I’m looking for some reliable Australian online casino sites to try out. I’d love recommendations for casino sites with a good selection of pokies, decent bonuses, and secure payment options (I don’t mind crypto-exclusive casinos, as long as they’re trustworthy and actually pay out).

Casinonic is the best real money online casino in Australia in my experience. It offers a welcome bonus of AU$5000 and thousands of pokies from top game studios like BGaming, NetEnt, BetSoft, and Pragmatic Play. While it’s a fiat casino, I believe it also accepts BTC and other cryptocurrencies

If you’re looking for an AU-friendly crypto casino with even more slot games than Casinonic, you might want to try BitStarz. It’s a pretty reputable gambling site, and its crypto bonuses are nice
My dude, I'm sorry to disappoint, but the AU online gambling market is more complex and regulated than that of the UK. The IGA (Interactive Gambling Act) of 2001 prohibits offering online casino games and poker to Australians, so only sports betting and lotteries are allowed here in AU (with strict rules around advertising and in-play betting). Enforcement in Australia has become tougher in recent years, so most Aussie players use popular offshore online casinos that don't block players from AU.

Is it legal to play at offshore online casinos though?
Australian law does not explicitly prohibit people in Australia from using offshore gambling sites, but using such sites technically carries some risks for players, such as a lack of recourse in disputes (or so they say)
